IHP Weight Loss
Weight loss centers seem to be everywhere, but patients— particularly high risk patients— should be extremely careful when choosing a weight loss clinic. Unfortunately, many centers are merely “pill-popping clinics” staffed by employees with virtually no clinical expertise in weight management. A huge part of their revenue comes from requiring their clientele to purchase numerous mandatory bottles of pills and supplements, ignoring and not addressing the root issues. Obesity is a serious life-threatening condition and there are many who take advantage of the quiet desperation that chronic dieters often feel.
At IHP, well-trained doctors, Nurse Practitioners, and nurses provide valuable education and support for those who are entering a complete program. It is well worth a patient's time to make sure he or she is getting desired results in a healthy manner to for lifelong weight management.
We at IHP also have experience dealing with complex medical problems that can result from obesity (diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and more.)
Paperwork
We will e-mail your new patient paperwork before your visit. This paperwork includes a new patient profile and lifestyle, nutritional, and health history. Please complete it at home when you are not in a hurry, as we base many of our decisions in planning your program on the answers you give. You can email it back to us, or print it, fill it out, and bring it to your appointment. If you are unable to complete the paperwork prior to your appointment, please arrive 30 minutes before your appointment to complete it at our office.
During the visit
At each patient’s first visit, we perform an EKG, draw your lab, check your blood pressure, obtain your weight, and perform a body composition analysis called a TANITA.
The lab work includes: CMP, CBC, Lipids, Thyroid and Vitamin D 25 Hydroxy. After the testing, the Nurse Practitioner will complete a medical history and examination. She will then work with you to customize a weight loss and management program based upon your lifestyle, food preferences, and goals.
Your custom program
Your personalized program may include prescription appetite suppressants, fat blockers, or other appropriate prescription medications. Prescription appetite suppressants can be used to reduce hunger and appetite, reduce thoughts of food (aversion), and make you feel fuller on smaller portions (satiety). They can increase your ability to adhere to your plan. We do not prescribe amphetamines. We use only FDA approved prescription medications and prescribe according to FDA guidelines and guidelines set forth by the American Society of Bariatric Physicians.
IHP also offers diet injections, which many of our patients find beneficial. The injections assist the body in fat metabolism and lead to faster weight loss. If you decide to have the injections, you'll need one each week to maintain a therapeutic level in your system. The price is $35 for our Regular Diet injection and $40 for our Extreme Diet injection. You do not need an appointment for an injection and may walk in any time during our business hours.
Cost and time investment
Your initial office visit will be approximately 1-1.5 hours and the total cost is $200. Your first follow-up visit will be in two weeks and monthly thereafter. These visits are usually 15 minutes in length. Follow-up visits are $50. Complete payment is due at the time the services are rendered. We do not submit any paperwork to your insurance company. We will provide you with a medically coded receipt for our services, which you may choose to submit to your insurance company. Some insurance programs will pay for all of or part of these services, some won't. You can your HSA or FSA insurance card to pay for your office visits, food and any other service or product we provide.

We do not have the staff available to baby-sit your children during your visit.
We work with you to develop a personalized weight loss plan based on your health status and weight loss goals.
To help ensure your long-term success, we provide personal support and lifestyle education throughout the program including; one-on-one counseling sessions with our Nurse Practitioner.
We understand the challenges overweight individuals face as they become active. That’s why we partner with you to make the transition to healthy, active living.

New! TIRZEPATIDE
Tirzepatide (Mounjaro) can help you lose up to 20% of your total body weight when you use it under professional supervision. A once weekly injection that has been recently shown to produce more weight loss than
Semaglutide. This medication has two chemicals that help with weight loss in different ways.
What is Tirzepatide?
Tirzepatide is a medication that is FDA-approved for the treatment of type 2 diabetes. Tirzepatide has recently been a game-changer for weight loss and obesity treatment. It works as a Glucagon-like peptide (GLP)-1 receptor agonist and Gastric Inhibitory Peptide (GIP) agonist to maximize similar benefits seen with other GLP-1 medications, such as Semaglutide.
· Tirzepatide activates GLP-1 receptors in the brain, which reduces the activity in the brain that controls appetite and increases the neuronal functions that control feelings of fullness. Tirzepatide increases insulin secretion, suppresses glucagon secretion, and slows gastric emptying. As a GIP, it activates the glucagon receptors, leading to weight loss and improved glucose control.
· With both hormones in play, tirzepatide results in decreased appetite, increased satiety, and increased weight loss.
Benefits of Tirzepatide
• Increased Weight Loss • Increase resting energy expenditure
• Improved Glycemic Control
• Improved sleep
• Controlled appetite and cravings
• Reduction in HgA1c Levels-Lower levels decreases the risk of complications associated with diabetes.
• Lower Risk of Hypoglycemia- tirzepatide has a lower risk of causing hypoglycemia (dangerously low blood sugar), a common side effect of many diabetes treatments.
• Once-Weekly Dosing: This medication is usually administered once per week, making it more convenient than treatments that require daily dosing.
Cardiovascular Benefits: Early research suggests that tirzepatide may have cardiovascular benefits, potentially reducing the risk of heart disease, a common complication of diabetes
IHP’s diet plans are fully customizable, allowing you to tailor a plan to your lifestyle. We encourage weekly weight checks to ensure progress is being made. We also do key labs to provide more objective evidence of improved health. A healthy long term weight loss plan requires exercise and eating well. We will help you design the optimal plan to meet your needs and hold you accountable to reach your goals!
Side Effects of Tirzepatide
Tirzepatide side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Common side effects are more likely to occur if patients continue to eat the harmful (SAD) Standard American inflammatory Diet while taking tirzepatide.

Semaglutide was FDA-approved in 2021. This medication plan was originally used to treat type-2 diabetes. Since the approval of this medication, many patients are including this peptide into their weight loss plan.
Semaglutide is done through a series of injections. There are weekly injections with four total injections per month. This peptide therapy starts off with a low dosage then may gradually increase over time. This is done to help maintain the effectiveness of the peptide and allow the body to easily absorb it. Semaglutide positively affects the body in a number of ways. This injectable medication plan is designed to help people lose weight or manage their type-2 diabetes. In fact, Semaglutide is often used among diabetics to control their type-2 diabetes. This peptide targets portions of the brain and an intestinal hormone that controls your appetite and digestion. Once Semaglutide is introduced to the body then it slows down the digestion process. By slowing it down the body feels fuller for longer periods. When the body feels fuller then it prevents excess calorie consumption. Typically, overeating may cause someone to gain weight. Semaglutide along with a normal protein low carb diet and may increase the chances of weight loss. Some users of Semaglutide lost up to 14.9% of their body weight. NAD Injections
NAD stands for Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide – NAD+.
Basically, it is a coenzyme of Vitamin B3 (niacin). This just means it is a helper to help bind and activate functions in the body. NAD is essential to more reactions than any other vitamin-derived molecule and is involved in healthy brain function and internal organ efficiency. As we age, NAD levels decline. We can recognize the degradation of mental alertness, clarity, focus and memory. NAD is a cutting-edge treatment for brain destroying diseases linked to addiction, depression, anxiety, stress and other age-related illness and can help in slowing down the overall age process by repairing dying and aging cells.

IHP-3 Peptide Protocol
Our peptide protocol, IHP-3 (AOD 9406) is not just another diet pill or risky appetite suppressant. It is a peptide that has the natural ability to help you burn fat and boost your metabolism without serious side effects. IHP-3 is among the very few peptides that has obtained FDA approval as a product with an excellent safety profile. These peptides are fundamentally powerful and shown to have impressive results including:
· Assisting in fat burning by increasing fat metabolism
· Reducing overall body fat
· Triggering fat release
· Preventing non-fatty food from turning into body fat

It stimulates the release of fat from fatty tissues, and prevents more of it from building up. It has the extraordinary ability to target abdominal fat stores.

How Do I Get Started?
Call or email our office and request the Bio-identical New Patient Medical History Questionnaire. Fill out these forms and fax or email it back to us. We will determine if you are a candidate for bio-identical hormone pellets or if we need more information.
After reviewing your medical history, we will contact you for a consultation appointment.
Lab work: You can also have your lab work completed during your consultation visit or we will give you the appropriate paperwork to have your blood drawn at the lab of your choice. Lab is generally a covered insurance benefit. However, if you have not met your annual insurance deductible, it will be MUCH cheaper to have it done at our office. We will give you the paperwork to file with your insurance company. It is recommended to contact your insurance company PRIOR to having the lab done at an outside facility, as it will more than likely be several hundred dollars if you have to pay for it yourself. We will give you the coded paperwork but WILL NOT have any dealings with ANY insurance company or insurance issues.
Lab results: About two weeks after your lab draw, you will be contacted by our office staff to schedule the pellet insertion appointment. We will review your hormone levels and medical condition and discuss treatment options and recommendation at that time. Your pellets will be inserted at that visit if appropriate.
Follow-up Assessment: Four weeks later, you will return to our office or to the lab, for your follow-up lab work. This is important as we need to measure and assess your response to the pellets during this peak time.
Follow-up Lab: At around 14 weeks after the initial insertion, you will again have your labs drawn to assess your hormone levels in order to determine when your next pellet insertion will need to be performed.
Four to six months after initial pellet placement: We will meet with you again to assess your treatment and adjust your bio-identical hormone dosage, if necessary. Your next pellet insertion will occur at that time.
